I have seen tons of hearsay on the issue, the thing about Mikleo being Sorey's "one and only" and that no male/female romance would work for him, and also that a typical romance isn't part of the game because it wasn't necessary. From everything I've been reading there is no one defined answer. Both extremes of the issue are wrong in my opinion. It doesn't matter what gender they are if the relationship is built in a platonic and friendly path rather than a romantic one. Sorey's childhood friend could have been Alicia or Rose or anybody and if he still had the exact same relationship that he had with Mikleo, with a female childhood friend, then we would still be saying the exact same thing - it's purely platonic.
